Which of the top ten restaurants in Ottawa is best for dinner?

A new study has found that Ottawa has the highest number of “premium” dining establishments in the country.
The study by University of Ottawa research associate Daniel Gagnon looked at restaurant ratings for the best restaurants in the city and the country as a whole.
“The top 10 restaurants are largely based on reviews that include reviews from Yelp and TripAdvisor.
These are generally very good reviews.
I’ve also included reviews from various reviews websites that I’ve used,” said Gagnons PhD student, Emily Mowat.
The list was based on a survey conducted by Gagnos team in 2014 and 2015.
At the time, Gagnoni said there were more than 300 restaurants across the city that were rated “premier.”
“What we found was that the top 10 were more diverse and varied, more well-known than the rest of the city, and more than 10 per cent of those restaurants had ratings that were on par with those that came in second,” said Mowatt.
So the study was intended to show the diversity of restaurants in each of the 10 regions and then compare the quality of each restaurant.
Gagnon says the results are still being refined.
For instance, Mowatts team has since expanded their survey to include reviews for restaurants in smaller cities such as Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.
“We know that it’s very difficult to get a good quality rating for any restaurant,” she said.
A more in-depth study will be conducted on the restaurants to be included in the new study, which is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
In the meantime, Ottawa has a number of new restaurants opening every year, including the “premiere” dining restaurants that are now becoming the norm.
According to Gagnont, the top restaurant on the list is the newly-opened, $300-per-person Brimstone Cafe.
Brimstone Café, located at the corner of Front and Broad, was named the #1 “premio” restaurant in Ottawa.
It opened in October 2017, and it is currently the only premium restaurant in the area.
Another new restaurant, The Pizzeria at Pangnirtung, is opening this summer in a strip mall next to a local pub.
The restaurant is expected to serve pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches.
It will also serve food from the Pangnuatung, a popular street food street in the neighbourhood.
On Thursday, the city will be welcoming another “premi” restaurant to the area with a $150-per person prix fixe meal.
The new restaurant will be located in a building owned by Pangnam International Airport, just down the street from the Brimstones Cafe.
