Romeos Pizza and Raymonds pizza will close their stores on Oct. 1.
Raymonds will close on Oct., 6, 2019, said a statement issued by the company.
It did not say when it plans to reopen.
The restaurants, which are in the U.S. and Canada, will be located in the former Ramen Ristorante.
Both restaurants were owned by brothers Angelo and Michael Sacco, who bought them in 2002.
They opened the first Italian restaurant in Rome in 1992.
They moved to New York City in 1993, and reopened in 2003 in a space formerly occupied by The Ramen Room.
In 2007, they opened a new pizza restaurant in New York called Italiano Pizza, and in 2013, the restaurant was named one of the Top 10 Italian Restaurants in America.
The Sacco brothers have also run the Italian restaurant Ramen, which they started in New Jersey, before expanding to New England in 2012. The Saccos have been involved in the local food scene for decades, and the Sacco family has had a long history of involvement in the pizza industry, with Angelo Sacco serving as chairman of the Board of Directors of the New England region of the pizza chain.
The news was posted online on Thursday, but did not appear on the companys website.
The two restaurants will be open only for a short time.
In an emailed statement, the Saccos said the decision to close was mutual.
They were not available to comment on Thursday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the Sonti Brothers declined to comment.
