With the Pizza Crust recipe, you can easily add a little pizzeria flair to any pizza you make.
This pizza crust recipe makes a simple, delicious crust and you can use it for almost any type of pizza.
To make it even easier, I’ve broken it down into bite size pieces.
You’ll need: 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup cornstarch 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 2/3 cup olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup buttermilk 1 cup heavy cream (or milk) 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place flour, cornstech, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat until it bubbles, about 1 minute.
Slowly add flour mixture and stir to combine.
Add cornstich mixture, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to medium low, and cook, stirring, for 1 minute and 5 seconds.
Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon, and continue to cook for 1 more minute.
Remove cinnamon from the mixture, and pour over butter mixture.
Pour into a large saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-low heat.
Continue to boil until bubbling begins to subside, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove pan from heat.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, flour, and cornstch mixture.
Add the milk and cream mixture, then beat for about 1 minutes on medium speed.
Remove the bowl from the mixer and add the remaining flour mixture.
Continue mixing for about 2 minutes.
Pour the batter into the prepared crust and sprinkle with salt.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the top of the pizza is golden brown and bubbly.
Let cool on a wire rack.
Recipe Notes: You can easily replace the flour with whole wheat flour, or substitute a low-sugar, all-buttermilk-based pizza dough recipe.
