The Papa Johns pizza brand celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and in honor of that milestone, the company is offering up a little something special: Papa John has created a limited edition pizza called John F Kennedy’s Pizza.
It features the likeness of the former President, a red-and-white pizza with a red, white, and blue theme, and a red star, a pizza star symbol that Papa John says was invented in honor (not for) the former president.
The pizza is only available in the US for now, but Papa John hopes it will be available in other countries soon.
“We are extremely proud to be able to celebrate our 50th birthday with the new Papa John Kennedy Pizza,” the brand said in a statement.
“The pizza represents Papa John at its most iconic.”
The pizza is made in Papa John Yum, a specialty pizza factory in Pennsylvania that was acquired by the company in 2017.
Papa John added a red flag to the pizza that says, “Papa John’s is the greatest pizza maker in the world,” and that it has made the pizza since 1949.
The company is also offering a limited number of the Papa John Pizza Kennedy’s, which will be priced at $79.99.
They will be limited to 50 pizzas, and the price will go up to $99.99 for the rest of the line.
Papa Johns website promises that the pizza will be delivered on December 11, and that customers will receive a complimentary pizza for their anniversary.
